We will begin with South Berwyn, because that is where I've had time to get to, so let's get going. I'll get to other parts of our school district on a "as can" basis. If you have any favorites you want to appear, please go to the contact page and let us know. The train station is still an active place for commuters, and is as busy as ever. The city refurbished the building and it's surroundings a few years ago, but it is only open for short periods during the morning rush hours, and ticket sales are available during that short time. The rest of the time, ticket purchases are made on board the train. As seniors, we qualify for a hefty discount, a bit over 50%. What a deal. The first shot was taken from Oak Park Avenue, looking south. The second was from Grove, looking east. Many of our classmates were born at MacNeal Hospital. Some of you are probably aware of the fact that the old hospital was torn down and replaced. The following shots are of the new hospital. The first shot is from 34th and Euclid, looking north. The second shot is of the new emergency entrance in the middle of the block between Oak Park and Euclid, about where 33rd street was before they cut it off. The third shot of MacNeal is of the new main entrance, across from where Prosch Drug Store used to be. OK, so let's take a look at some grade schools. Again, we'll start in South Berwyn, you know the reason. Let's begin with a doorway that many will remember well. Yes, it's St. Leonard. If you will look real closely, you'll probably see your favorite nun waiting just inside.
